Stephen King To Twilight Author: You Suck

Man, you’ve got to love Stephen King.  After decades of facing down haunted cars and evil clowns and vampires and werewolves and deranged sheriffs and a store that has everything you ever wanted, the guy is absolutely afraid of NOTHING.

But he’s going to have to think twice, because the wrath of teenage girls is going to be on his head soon.

Here’s what the man hisself had to say about Twilight authoressa Stephanie Meyer

“Both Rowling and Meyer, they’re speaking directly to young people. … The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can’t write worth a darn. She’s not very good.”

Somewhere there are ten thousand tweenage girls sharpening their eyebrow pencils into makeshift shivs and throwing them at their brothers’ copies of IT for practice.  I always knew nothing kept Stephen King up at night, but basically calling the author of the Twilight series a hack?  That takes some SERIOUS stones.

Hey Steve–maybe you should get Salman Rushdie’s agent on the horn and see if there’s room for two in HIS hiding spot!

Robert Pattinson Will NOT Be On The New Moon Soundtrack

So it’s true–Robert Pattinson’s musical chops will NOT be featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming Twilight installment New Moon.

Though he wrote two songs for the first installment, the composer, pianist and guitarist says that for him music is nothing more than a “back up plan”, and that he didn’t want to be seen as “trying to cash in”.

This is unusually decent for a celebrity–most of the time you hear about rampant greed and desperate attempts to cash in, but Pattinson’s choosing not to go that route, which personally rates a thumbs up and a nod of kudos from me.

Of course, the question left is, will be will he be showing up on Eclipse?

Is the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Being Banned in School Libraries?

The fourth book in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga has gone missing from the shelves of a a junior-high school near the Mormon stronghold of Salt Lake City, UT after complaints from parents uncomfortable with its content–

Stephenie Meyer’s popular Twilight series chronicling the romance of a vampire and teenage girl is notoriously all build-up, no bite.

But a parent’s complaint over sexual content in the Mormon author’s fourth novel, Breaking Dawn, coincided with the book’s temporary absence from the library at Brockbank Junior High.

Officials at the Magna school purchased copies of the book some time ago, but as of Wednesday hadn’t placed them on library shelves. Principal Terri Van Winkle would not say whether the delay stemmed from a parent’s complaint about a honeymoon scene in which sex is implied between the central characters Bella and Edward. But Granite School District officials confirm a complaint was voiced.

Officials at Jordan, Davis and Salt Lake districts say they aren’t aware of any school bans of the Twilight books.

“I know some of the elementary school librarians keep it behind the counter. That way, they can ensure that the parent approves of the child checking it out,” said Bonnie Flint at the Davis district.

Previously, we mentioned a Los Angeles Time article with concerns over whether Breaking Dawn is too sexy for youngsters.

What is EMO?

Emo,yes it is short for emotional. But,there is more to emo then hair and looks. Emo is a state of mind. Most people, made them selves appear emo. While in reality, they have to much hope to be emo. Emo is much like goth. But,goth is Darker. Emo is more emotional, harder to fake. Yes,some emos cut themselves, but there is more than that. Emo is one of the hardest things,to explain. People hate emos,b/c they view us as suicidal, cry babies,or just week. That’s NOT what emo is. Suicidal yes,at times. But,don’t judge them for being emo. It’s not what they chose to be. It’s just what they are.
